Whilst I specialise in makeup I regularly work with and can highly recommend Klaire for wedding hairstyling. Klaire has over 20 years experience in the hairdressing industry; she trained with Robert Fielding's of Regent Street and Vidal Sassoon, London and is recommended by Toni and Guy, Mona Vale, for wedding and formal hair.

Klaire has a warm and approachable personality and has completed various courses in wedding and formal hairstyling. Her creative flair include up-styles with flowers, beaded clips, feathers, jewels, etc. and she is able to create the perfect hairstyle for your wedding day. You can see examples of her work in the photo boxes.

As some brides have their own trusted hair dresser they would like to use for their wedding day; I am more than happy to work alongside a hairdresser of your choice. I also have experience in natural unstructured hairstyles which are great for modern brides and relaxed informal weddings.

A hair trial can take place at the same time as your makeup trial or separately and a couple of different looks may be tried to achieve the look you want for your wedding day.

Below are some bridal hair tips for you to consider:

o       Start by getting some ideas from the internet or collecting pictures from magazines. Be realistic - is your hair straight / thick / long enough for the style you like? Select several photos to show your stylist to try each of them out.  Remember to be open to new ideas and any advice given to you.

o       Choose a style that will suit your face shape - round faces suit high "up do’s" and sleek long styles while long faces suit styles that have width and volume, heart and oval faces suit just about anything.

o       Curls are soft and romantic, pleats are sophisticated & classical, braids are funky.... or perhaps you prefer more contemporary spikes and twists. Try to reflect your personality in your bridal hairdo, whilst feeling comfortable with the style.

o       Tiaras and veils should compliment your hairstyle but not hide it. If you have chosen a large floor-length veil, your hairstyle needs to be sturdy enough to hold its shape until you take the veil off.
Some veils look better sat at the back of the head under a mass of curls or a bun. If you have a French pleat (or chignon) it is easier to pin the veil in front. As a rule, the hair shouldn't be worn longer than the veil.

o       Beads, jewels and flowers add extra sparkle and colour and can tie in with your colour scheme and jewellery. Pins and hair-grips with sparkling gems on the ends have a stunning effect, whilst small flowers can be scattered amongst curls or wired to a comb to flatter a French pleat.
